Who are we?

At phelas, we’re innovating the future of energy storage with Aurora and Catalyst. Aurora, our containerized Liquid Air Energy Storage (LAES) solution, is designed to reshape the energy storage landscape. Meanwhile, Catalyst, our trailblazing energy storage and green hydrogen planning tool, is streamlining the pathway to efficient, sustainable energy planning. What will you do?

As our Energy Analyst Intern/Working Student, you will play a crucial role in researching and analysing emerging energy markets and future energy systems. As part of the market intelligence team, you will support creating and implementing energy market models and tools that help the company develop its business activities.

Your responsibilities will include conducting in-depth research on emerging energy markets, analysing trends in energy storage, and developing models to inform strategic decisions.

As a key member of our team, you will:

  • Conduct in-depth research on emerging energy markets, identifying potential opportunities and challenges.
  • Analyze trends in energy storage solutions, including technological advancements and market adoption.
  • Summarize key-findings from your research to guide decisions
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant energy policies and regulations changes impacting the market.
  • Support the Catalyst team in the implementation of energy market models for our consultancy and software services
  • Implement changes to existing tools and update information

Who are you?

  • You have a energy-related background, preferably in business and energy, energy engineering or something similar
  • Knowledge of energy market operation and design
  • Knowledge of energy storage technologies
  • Basic experience in programming (e.g. python)
  • Experience in research and development related activities
  • Plus: Practical knowledge in linear optimization and mathematical programming would be an advantage
  • Plus: Data analytics experience
